There's a definite party vibe in the air, as expected when unlimited booze and the Mexican sun come together, but there are enough swimming pools and beach space to escape for quiet if that's what you're looking for. Sometimes there are several weddings happening at one time on the beach. Groups of friends stay here too and many people come back every single year. Kids aren't allowed here (they are next door at Sunscape Sabor Cozumel, the sister property) and the bulk of guests are couples. My daughter loved going to Star Camp, some of her favorite activities at camp were pool games, making puppets/playdough/jewelry, and face painting! They even helped her celebrate her birthday.Secrets Aura Cozumel was originally built as a Wyndham property and it seems that no expenses were spared in renovations and upkeep. We did not know much about Star Camp until we arrived - Rosa, Ismael, and Montse at Star Camp made my daughters week! Rosa, Ismael, and Montse were so patient, kind, and creative keeping the kids engaged and busy at Star Camp. A special shout out to those who helped us celebrate my daughters birthday, and to the staff working Star Camp. We appreciate all of the staff's hard work around the resort, every person we saw was working hard. We enjoyed our visit and felt completely relaxed. My family of 4 stayed in a family room which was clean and well kept. Diving with Dressel divers was a breeze having them right there on site. All of the restaurants were able to accommodate us. My family of 4 (2 kids) were part of a larger family group of 10. We stayed at Iberostar Cozumel last week and the stay was fantastic. I look forward to our next visit! It's not the fanciest or most "posh" place, but it's very nice, very comfortable and the people make it such a wonderful place to return. I don't know how much time she spent doing all she could to assist us, but it was one of the most impressive displays of service I've ever encountered! Laura, you are a tremendous asset to Iberostar! The resort is a very nice place. I'd like to share a very special thank you to Laura, who helped us with a lost or stolen passport. A special shout out to Cyndy and Fidel who made our return extra nice! We were always comfortable. The food was good everyone always found plenty to enjoy. The staff at the resort is simply fantastic! We recognized several staff members and some remembered us as well, which was really fun. Our fifth stay at Iberostar Cozumel was great! Even though it had been a few years since our last visit, they had our family on their Welcome Back board in the lobby entrance which was a nice touch. ![]()
